[sf-lug] Is it ok to post this please? Not a very tech oriented post. But this does explain why I rarely come to meetings. I am tired much of the time.

Thank you all! Maybe not going back to tech for me. At least not yet.
As I and my husband get older and have more health problems, I have started
to think about working in some corner of the medical area. First I thought
about becoming a CNA. In one of my current jobs as a fully credentialed
moderate to severe special education teacher, I change diapers. Including
on a very heavy 5 year old who likes to stick his hand in his diaper and
explore the poop. Probably not so different from working with older senile
patients.
I have worked with Hoyer lifts in the past when I worked for the county
office of education. But no lifts here and now. So I do lots of stretches
and pray for my back. I am certainly getting a lot of good karma in this
teaching job which ends after the first week of June.
Sorry if I put you off your breakfast. But welcome to my reality.
Anyhow, as a cashier at Andronico’s, I get paid $19 per hour every day
except on Sundays when I get $20 per hour. With no hope of any raise ever.
Well not for years and years. Union job. Ufcw
I do get paid a bit over $60 per hour for 6 hours most weeks for teaching
ESL two nights per week in Half Moon Bay. Both of my teaching jobs are in
Half Moon Bay. The mkt is in Los Altos near where I live. I work over 80
hours per week for now
Enough for now.
I found a dentist who will see me on Saturday mornings.
I’ll go get ready and get a crown at 9 am.
