[sf-lug] New Linux Pro out!

Hi LUGers,

     Wednesday I was able to get this at the Fog City
News (and chocolate shop).  Next Monday I will have
it at the SF-LUG meeting.

     Linux Pro is out, the January 2017 issue.
The distributions on disk are Ubuntu 16.10 in 32 bit
and Ubuntu Mate in 64 bit versions.
     Articles on Diaspora which is social networking without
Big Brother or Big Data, Lepton an image compressor, Ardour 5
the audio workstation, and if you must use (Why?) the Internet
of Things, Z-Wave to automate your home. 5 Formidable Screen
cast tools, and Living with Windows covering the distros
Chalet OS and Zorin OS and running Windows Apps with Wine.

     Linux Voice is still a separate section of the magazine.
LV articles include KDE through the ages, Automotive Linux
and File System monitoring.  LV has report on FOSS Picks
which includes GRUB Customizer and Attract Mode.
Tutorials on Meticulous Monitoring with collectd and more
on Running Windows Apps in Wine...(may be the same as the
article in Linux Voice)

     Plus all the usual slightly out of date news and views
columns and comments.
