Been a couple years since I checked, but,
last I checked on Sonic fiber,
Once Sonic has fiber to the building (or maybe even neighborhood block?),
it's a one-size-fits-all residential service offering and they won't even
provide/offer any other service offerings.
And ... their residential fiber ...
there are no options for any static IPv4 addresses.
So ... if you wanna be a good little consumer of sucking information
from The Internet, they'll well let you do that ... but if you
actually want to run servers ... nope, forget it.
Anyway, that's at least what I got from 'em a couple years ago
when I checked. Fast sure, but servers ... nope.
So, yeah, that was a no-go for my situation,
as I run DNS servers, web servers, mail and list servers, ...
