Hi LUGers.

Got this yesterday at the Fog City News, home of fine chocolate
as well as lots of magazines.

Linux Pro magazine issue #224 for July 2019

Disks of the Month were Fedora 30 Workstation and Ubuntu 19.04
both with the same version
of Cinnamon 3.32 apparently in x86_64 versions.

Cover features report on testing Energy Consumption of Software and
FOSS seems to be
doing better than proprietary.  The report details at length how the
testing of power consumption
was done.
A report on /e/ (formerly eelo) the FOSS Linux Cell Phone
being promoted and developed by Gaël Duval.  Fresh article.
Duval helped invent Mandrake but like Jobs and Apple was asked
to leave once Mandrake and Connectiva merged to form Mandriva
which went down the tubes due to its business model.  If they
had kept Duval they might well have survived but they did not.
Apple asked Jobs back and that worked for them if not for all
the people they had involved in their pre-Jobs schemes.

Checked the Central Computing store advertisement and they
are having a Makers sale, directed at Raspberry Pi users and for
