Hi LUGers,

Well this was a very small meeting.

Joseph P. came in about 6:40 PM and I showed
him the new ELive on USB which can be used
as a persistent system.  I think it looks very nice
and it has lots of tools available through Synaptic,
its Package Manager.  In some areas it lags more
than a bit.  Too few workers on the staff.  Publisher
is responsive to simple problems as he got the
checksums out after I told him about the
need.

Jim S came in about 7 PM and read a good deal
of the latest Linux Pro magazine. as well as observing
the end of the Elilve demonstration.  Jim has a new
laptop from Zareason.

I could not give away any of the fresh disks and I had
several including the DVD version of Elive 3.0,
Parrot 4.2.2 in the home version for 32 and 64 bit and
the full security release for AMD64, the new SystemRescueCD
version 5.3.0, 4MLinux 26, and Linux Mint Debian Edition 3
in 32 and 64 bit versions.

At 7:50 PM I began to pack up the equipment.
Jim gave me a ride home and took Joseph on his home.

A bit of news: Linus Torvalds is taking a holiday to work
on his communications skills.
Ryuzen processors are showing up in lots of laptops.
and you can check out the Dell Inspiron 7000 specs
at the URL below.

Anyone attending the meeting is free to correct my omissions or
incomprehension of the activities and asked to do so asap so that the
membership not in attendance will not be mis-informed any longer
than necessary.

Last Monday I managed to pick up Linux Pro at the Fog City News on
