     If his XP was still supported that would be acceptable.  But it ain't.
     Maybe Zorin would be the OS that would seem most familiar to the 
older gentleman.
     As long as the downloads are free the gentleman should not object.
     I would actually think that Lubuntu would be easier to deal with 
for some folks.

         Yes we are.  To get the sr. citizen tenderized properly, brown 
in hot oil then braise in a closed pan
with flavorful herbs, vegetables, a bay leaf or two and minimal water.   
Add the carrots, potatoes and
small onions in the last.  Make sure your kitchen is well ventilated.

         Senior Citizens can also be substituted with cheap cuts of beef 
or pork or an elderly hen.
     Sr.Citizens frequently use that meal preparation technique to solve 
problems with failing dentition.
