Am _very_ interested in obtaining a copy of KNOPPIX 8.1.0 DVD as described 
in its release notes [01] at October 1st's Sunday meeting.  While KNOPPIX 
8.1's default Chromium web browser supports direct audio playing under 
Linux -- and that's a _good_ thing! -- it's too bad that the PulseAudio 
requirement breaks Firefox on ALSA-only systems [02], such as the FF 
version in KNOPPIX 8.1 :-\

Am myself much less interested in the ongoing, off-meeting, mailing-list 
administrivia dialogs (for those interested in the inner workings of the 
SF-LUG group) between Michael P and Rick M, as great and productive as 
they most certainly are, e.g. at [03] thru [16]. Note that the Bay Area 
Linux User Group itself has a BALUG-Admin mailing-list [17] in order to 
provide "Discussion among those who make BALUG work", rather than flooding 
its more general mailing-list [18] for this intended purpose ;-).
