"Higher resolution" can be used a couple of different ways.
One is "more pixels", as with the WQXGA display. The other is "more pixels
per inch", as with the Apple Retina displays.
If you miniaturized that 30" display down to about 12", you'll have a pixel
density
equivalent to a Retina display, which is what the link Bobbie provided was
talking about.
