[sf-lug] looking for a laptop

I've purchased a few laptops through ebay. Two thinkpads and a dell and
those have each turned out fairly well. The key is to look for someone
with lots of transactions(1000+) and 99%+ satisfaction in feedback. At
that point, you know you're dealing with someone responsible. You can
probably get what you want in a thinkpad for under $500. I'm running
Ubuntu just fine on this p3/1.1ghz/512mb/cdrw-dvd that I got for $580
shipped 6 months ago.
