It’s really interesting in its detail, especially bicycling behind the robot around campus.
When I’m talking to my ICU doc friend, she’s usually exhausted, especially after working in four languages (Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and French, in approximately that order), and so her accounts of what’s going on have been somewhat fragmented. (Her husband is a schoolteacher, works in three languages and is picking up bits of Mandarin.) They started working in China only a few months before Covid hit.
So I knew about the neighborhood lockdowns, but not *how* they were organized, which is covered in this article.
