[conspire] bank doesn't like Iceweasel

I've been running Linux from a rotating number of USB3 mSATA for the
past year or sowith different versions of Debian and Ubuntu, mostly
with Mate but at least one has the rather alien Gnome3, and I run a
recent Firefox on all of them fairly regulary.
I extracted to ~/mystick/bin and my current rev of my script invokes
$HOME/mystick/bin/firefox-45.2.0esr-SSL-i686/firefox/firefox
if it detects $(arch) to be i686.
Had no trouble, so far.
I do git sync all my own script around but my ff script just runs the
latest of the above.
Time to clean up, I guess. I recommend the extended service release
track unless you like the bleeding edge.
With regards to setting User-Agent:
On Android, I use an add-on called "Phony" that let's you change the
User-Agent pretty easily.
Use cases:
1. Get around sites that disable zooming because you are on Android
(even though my Nexus 10 has a better-than-1080p display) and sites
that nag you to install the Onerous Permissions Android App instead of
letting you use the web interface you want (setting Phony Firefox OS
is a good choice there, it gets you the I-don't-have-an-app-for-that
interface).
2. Get around sites that expect you to have Flash. Set it to Safari
or iPad. Apple doesn't have flash, right?
Phony is available in all the Firefox, desktop or mobile, I think.
(while we are here, i might as well mention Self Destructing Cookies,
which lets websites think they set persistent cookies, but you can
control which sites you are willing to persist. In my case, it's
pretty much just the ones I have been willing to get a login for.)
