Good thought. They are switched so I'll see if one of the settings is "off". I
want to say I've checked this before though and I think they are only low, med,
and high; but I'll check again. A guy at HE suggested just replacing the fans
which is an option too I suppose.

The other issue is the LED built into the fans. Last time I had it open I looked
for a way to disconnect them and they seem to be integrated into the powerline
(no separate wire). If I can get around these two items, I could leave it
running and automate more processes. Since the desk is in the bedroom, the wife
complains about both the noise and the lights. As such, it shuts down at night
and back on in the morning (daily).

It's on my desk and blocks the light from the monitor so it doesn't disturb the
wife so much while she's in bed if I'm up late working on things.

Great thought though. =)

I bet. I noticed those little guys on your VA server. It reminded me of what
"overkill" I have in my desktop. Yeah, the 200 is an exhaust. Considering my
usage, I could probably disconnect both front fans and still be alright.
