I've used joker.com for the last 10 years or so; for five of those
they also ran my dns. (I do my own dns now becuase I have automated
processes that have to deal with dns. For most home users, it's
really a matter of taste.)

they are maybe $12/year, but being as I only have two domains
I care about, saving another five bucks a year is not enough
for me to put serious effort into researching other registrars
when my current one works just fine.

Like others, I've had some moderately scummy experiences with godaddy
when I tried them with a secondary domain. I mean, it wasn't horrible,
but they kept trying to upsell me. It was more than five bucks a year
of work to defend myself from the upsell attempts.

I'm sure there are probably some lower-priced registrars who are also
okay, but really, my stuff works. I'm not going to mess with it.
