We have lots of distros available.

We have a big facility there at the school's lab: monitors, keyboards, mice,
extra machines.  We could easily have installed a wide variety of distros on
anyone's machine, or even given away machines.  In fact, we did give a
machine to a community member who needed a short term loaner.
