I may need a temporary monitor for a desktop. I'd like a case from someone, if its not too much trouble, I'm a net case donor right now. I've got a power supply etc for my next desktop build. its the same chipset as my optical not working laptop. That older laptop needs a new os install over PXE or maybe I bring a floppy over usb boot device, overcomes a bios limit.

 Looks like I need to compile this intel x3100, 965 graphics thing for my newest laptop. I'll want to get something for the atheros AR42x wireless in it as well. 
And I'll want to transfer that work to other distro installs vs redoing it in all my , only 11 right now, distro installs. Does anyone know details about getting bad ms os to co-exist ok, other than "don't do it , man !".
