[conspire] Knoppix Help?

Greetings,

I was at the Apple users group meeting last night and some one asked
me how to add a video driver to a Knopix CD so that it works with his
ATI card.

I not up with the latest Linux distro's however back i the day, I had
to update Xfree86's Xserver to have the latest driver. However a good
lookup turned up that several distro's such as Redhat allow you to add
an individual video driver via rpm, which leads me to believe that
Video drivers are now modular?

However my Google searches has not given me any help on how to do this
with Knopix or to add  my own applications such as I do with Barts PE

Can any one please point me in the right direction?
