I forgot to include this:  He _specifically heard_ from me that all he
has to do is update an ancient, obsolete 2001 version -- but he'd rather 
selectively omit that in order to try to make me look unreasonable in
public. 

No doubt, Russ's distortive Web page will get added to the list of crud
hurled at me by anonymous flamers.

One thing I forgot to mention:  You definitely _may_ mirror the essay if 
you stay in compliance with Eric's posted copying policy, which I agreed to 
when we wrote it, and which you'll find linked from the essay master
copy at his site.  Essentially, all you have to do is dynamically
mirror the essay, i.e., keep up with the change history at catb.org .

Your copy at owlriver.com does not currently do that:  It's an outdated
version.  If you fix that, then we have no more issues.
