So you wanna send me email? Read this first.

1. I don't know when the next book will be published or what its title will be. Your best source for that information is Tor Books' website. I am sure they will announce the information as soon as they have it.

2. I don't know Robert Jordan's email address, if he even has one. You can write to him via Tor Books. Their postal address is printed in each of the books, and you can visit them at their website.

3. Stories you've heard about Robert Jordan dying, becoming seriously ill, or chosing to abandon writing the series are almost certainly false, baseless rumors. Jordan is alive and active, and he plans to finish this series before writing anything else.

4. If you're asking a question about the story (eg, Did Verin tell a lie? Is Mazrim Taim really someone else in disguise?), chances are a comprehensive answer has already been researched, discussed, and archived in the FAQ (a list of Frequently Asked Questions). Please check there before sending questions about the story along to me. Even if you don't find what you're looking for in the FAQ, it's a great read. It enhanced my enjoyment of the series when I read it the first time and is still a great resource for reminding me of what happened in the story. 5. I didn't draw any of the portraits or scenes displayed in my Art Gallery; other people drew them and asked me to display them. If you have any comments about the artwork, you need to email the artist, not me.

6. You don't need to ask my permission to place a hypertext link to my page from your page. All I ask is that when you do place a link, you link into my main page (http://linuxmafia.com/~garrett/jordan/) or one of the pages directly beneath it in my hypertext structure. The other pages are more likely to get renamed or disappear over time.

7. I always appreciate constructive criticism about the content and organization of my website. Don't hesitate to send me your comments. (Note: Constructive criticism doesn't mean "compliments only". It just means that if you dislike something, be specific about what you dislike and offer a suggestion for improvement.)

8. If you want to send me email, for heaven's sake use a valid return email address. It's frustrating to me to spend 15 minutes composing an answer only to discover the message bounces because the address was invalid.
