I've been doing a lot of backward (and forward) compatibility testing.
Mostly of BIND 9 on Debian,
also did a fair bit of Crossgrading testing too.
And mostly to update some Debian wiki pages, notably:
https://wiki.debian.org/BIND9 and
https://wiki.debian.org/CrossGrading

So, yeah, lots of that. I'm also thinking for the
BALUG 2025-09-16 meeting, probably have
discussion topic of DNS & BIND (haven't put that
on the web site quite yet, but likely soon-ish).
May also join the SF-LUG meeting this Sunday.

Yep, lots of testing (and no, the balug VM is mostly production,
not testing, possibly excepting, e.g. domain tmp.balug.org)

$ virsh list
 Id Name State
-------------------------------------------
 1 balug running
 34 debian8 running
 35 debian7 running
 36 debian9 running
 37 debian10 running
 38 debian11 running
 39 debian12 running
 40 debian13 running
 42 debiansidplusexperimental running

Also, when I've gotten bored, among other things, I've solved
tough storage issues/challenges, notably for md and zfs.
Mostly just do loopback devices to sparse files,
and test away at it - not uncommonly figure out how to
fix various storage pickles folks manage to wedge themselves
into.
