I don't think power cycles make that much difference, for this purpose.
Call me superstitious, but I just worry about any server SCSI drive
that's spent time powered down and not moving, that the heads many not
unlatch the next time it powers up again.

I don't know which variety of oldness makes the difference, sorry.
