  	This week in DistroWatch Weekly among other
doubtless interesting information is a review of
  helloSystem 0.8.0 which is actually an pale(so far)
imitation of the MacOS.  The review conclusion is that
GhostBSD would be a better starting point but read the
review to see the things that can go awry.

2023-02-20 	NEW • Distribution Release: Athena OS 2023.02.20
	The developers of Athena OS, an Arch Linux-based distribution designed 
for penetration testing, bug-bounty hunting and InfoSec students, have 
announced the release of version 2023.02.20.
The Iso file is about 2.6 GB and it uses systemd.

    2023-02-16 	NEW • Distribution Release: Clonezilla Live 3.0.3-22
  	Clonezilla Live is a Debian-based live CD containing
Clonezilla, a partition and disk cloning software. The project's
latest release includes software upgrades from Debian's Sid branch
and improves handling of swap partitions. As usual for this distro,
3 versions for the x86 family, all uner 400 MB.

	Lorenzo Faletra has announced the release of Parrot 5.2, an
updated version of the project's Linux distribution based on Debian's
"Testing" branch. The new release updates the Linux kernel to version
6.0.12: Iso file size is varies between 2.4 and 4.9 GB uses systemd.

2023-02-14 	NEW • Distribution Release: KaOS 2023.02
     KaOS is a rolling-release distribution designed for one 
architecture (x86_64) running one desktop environment (KDE Plasma). The 
project has published a new snapshot, KaOS 2023.02, which features the 
newly released KDE Plasma 5.27 desktop. Iso is about 3.5 GB and it uses

  	Univention Corporate Server (UCS) is an enterprise-class
distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. The distribution's 5.0 series
has been updated, bringing new features, improved performance, and some
new security options.  Less than a GB in size, using systemd.

2023-02-08 	NEW • Distribution Release: Endless OS 5.0.0
  	João Paulo Rechi Vita has announced the release of Endless OS
5.0.0, a significant upgrade of the project's app-centric, Debian-based
distribution featuring the EOS Shell (a fork of GNOME Shell), available
for x86_64 and arm64 (including Raspberry Pi and Pinebook) computers.
The new version introduces a refreshed desktop experience, multiple
workspaces and an all-new app centre. Users of Endless OS 4 will need
to upgrade to version 4.0.14 before they can upgrade to version 5.0.0.

	 SparkyLinux is a Debian-based distribution which
provides several desktop editions accompanied by convenient
tools. The latest release from the project is SparkyLinux 6.6
which includes persistent storage when run live frm USB drives.

  The persistent storage  is a new direction but it apparently
