And I mentioned Rocky Linux already but then picked up this tiny bit
of information.
Rocky Linux 9.0 can be downloaded on the Downloads page for the x86_64,
aarch64, ppc64le, and s390x architectures.

The Distrowatch weekly newsletter is out again and leads off with a
  review of KaOS 2022.06 and KDE Plasma 5.25. You can find it

Might very well have missed this before, but there is an interesting and
distro-relevant Distrochooser "test" website https://distrochooser.de/
that could also help out folks choose a suitable Linux distribution to
install and/or try out by live media.

Distrochooser evaluates folks' responses to the following sets of questions:

* Software: Use case
* Computer knowledge
* Linux and you
* Installation: Presets
* Hardware support
* Source for help
* User experience
* Distributions: Price
* Distributions: Scope
* Distributions: Ideology
* Distributions: Privacy
* Administration
* Software: Updates

The distrochooser.de "test" offers additional features listed at its site
to accommodate various preferences and needs.

After carrying out Distrochooser's "test" several times, IMHO, it did an
acceptable job in listing some of the Linux distros I've actually
installed and/or considered using. Distrochooser somehow didn't include
Slackware Linux in its results, though, so I'd currently grade the
Distrochooser "test" as a B or B- on the typical A+ thru F grading scale
