[sf-lug] tax preparation using linux- good news and bad

For several years I've been using TaxSlayer.com to do my taxes and have been quite happy with the process.
This year, after encountering all sorts of difficulty I discovered that their system is now only compatible with Google Chrome.
I tried Chromium but that failed.

Briefly checking with DuckDuckGo (linux compatible tax preparation,) I came across and tried TaxAct.com and all went well.
