The thread you posted this question to had _no connection_ to the December
revelation that SolarWinds Orion Platform proprietary network-management
software for MS-Windows had been trojaned for many months by Russian
cyberwarfare forces.

This thread is about the recent discovery of a longtime fatal weakness
in the Unix 'sudo' utility, and rushed-out package updates to patch the
bug.
