[sf-lug] Gnome to provide further confusion

hi LUGers,

     Well I think people who use Gnome are confused but that is their
choice. Gnome is going to provide further confusion for all though.

     GNOME gets (a) new versioning scheme, and (some)Linux users are
going to be confused.  The scheme will move from 3.38 to 40.x.
