[sf-lug] I believe the mailing list is fine, nei? ;->

Well, I don't see the intended posting from Bobbie on this ML, which
I certainly regret but have done all I can to help, really. Just a
couple of follow-up items:

1. Sure, if you as a subscriber genuinely think you've sent mail to the
ML and it's mysteriously failed to show up, especially if you see signs
of it _neither_ in your received subscriber copies of sent ML traffic
_nor_ in the HTML archive (http://linuxmafia.com/pipermail/sf-lug/),
please feel free to ask for help and, time permitting, I'll investigate
on my end, starting (and perhaps ending, as it did today) with seeing
whether there was even a delivery attempt.

But please, please, please, if you do that, provide accurate timestamps,
e.g., 'sent at 9:02:29 AM today', not something vague like 'this
morning'. Give me something specific to search for. (And, goes without
saying, make sure your darned system time is accurate, for gosh sakes.)

2. You want to test whether mail to MLs on linuxmafia.com works?
Great! The operative word is 'test', which ought to remind you that
there's a 'test at linuxmafia.com' mailing list for exactly that purpose --
as a place where anyone may send test mails to make sure they can reach
linuxmafia.com and that Mailman on linuxmafia.com is working. (Don't
forget to _join_ test at linuxmafia.com before trying to post to it.
Find it by starting at the front page of the linuxmafia.com Web site and
looking for the mailing lists link. It's right there.)

I respect people trying to _test_ before appealing to me for help saying
'I tried to mail the [blah] mailing list and I don't know what happened.
Can you figure it out?' This gets kinda old, after a while.

3. Apologies, but I'm going to probably be off the Internet and unable
to immediately assist for the next couple of days. See you on the other
side!

Cheers, "Given where we started from, which was crawling up some
Rick Moen beach, somewhere, and no one even knows where that was, we
rick at linuxmafia.com haven't really done that badly. And I would much rather be
McQ! (4x80) a rising ape than a falling angel." -- Terry Pratchett
