Yep, I think some groups/organizations, ... sometimes even (for a
while?) some [L]UGs can successfully do meetings as frequently as
weekly, ... but most either can't, or can't sustain it.
Berkeley Unix User Group (BUUG http://www.buug.org/)
did, once upon a time, have weekly meetings ... as far as I'm aware, from
its beginnings (<=2000-01-13), to somewhere approximately in the
range 2001-04-24--2001-08-06.  Not quite sure exactly when the transition
happened - didn't spot that (at least easily) in the list archives (or via
archive.org).

Anyway, I didn't start going to BUUG until sometime in 2003,
but I heard tale that once-upon-a-time it met weekly.
I might'a also looked before, but wasn't particularly sure when
it transitioned.
