[sf-lug] debian vs ubuntu question

thank you.
I have sent my laptop to Zareason for them to re-install
because of config problems. I have a day or two to
decide whether to ask them to re-install Ubuntu 18.04
or some other distro. I only use a terminal window,
the Thunderbird email client, wi-fi, and Firefox.
You have a suggestion?
