Nothing special but it is basically a set of instructions
for creating Linux on a computer from
a zero starting point. That means that you might learn a lot about
GNU/Linux by using
those instructions.
Funtoo Linux is basically the same sort of arrangement but
aimed at using Gentoo
sources.
M PCLinuxOS64 is a rolling release. After I put do the basic
install I add in a lot of
tools which I foolishly trust from long experience. It also has a tool
that would let me make
a bootable disk from my modified system. So it is an easy way to create
a custom distribution
with less effort and knowledge than the "Linux from Scratch" or "Funtoo"
I doubt I will do anything like that at this point as keeping up
with other matters
is taking up too much of my time and I enjoy writing more than i do
reading the
distributed and applicable documents to use the tool.
