No, I most certainly didn't.

I asked you:  'Your so-called 'DSL modem' just got pwned:  How do you
figure that happened, Bobbie?'  I then made a pretty decent (IMO)
educated guess that you operated a vulnerable, badly implemented, and
_unmaintained_ proprietary Linux distribution on an embedded Netgear
device, facing straight onto the Internet, for a pretty long period of
time, and eventually the predictable happened.

I pointed out ways to rethink your basic approach and do things
fundamentally better.  You argued for a couple of rounds, at the end of
which I decided I don't care enough to twist your arm into actually
dealing with your problem.  And I wished you good luck.  Finis.
