Very good, sir.
I had already worked through this with John offlist two days ago, and
suggested he follow-up with something like this
---<snip>---
I suggest following up with:
Make/model: Kingston model KTL-TP3CL/8G
RAM size: 8GB
Format: SO-DIMM (204-pin),
Generation of SDRAM: DDR3L (where L is for low-voltage = 1.35V),
but _compatible with_ all DDR3-using laptops (see below).
Speed: PC3-12800 (rated for up 1600 MHz)
Type: unbuffered
Data integrity: non-ECC
DDR3L SO-DIMMs are required for, among others, some recent laptops from
Lenovo, Acer, Dell, Fujitsu, and HP. Note: A DDR3L SODIMM will always
be compatible with laptops specified to use DDR3, but the reverse is not
always true.
This model is no longer in current production: It has been replaced by
model KCP3L16SD8/8.
Commodity price: was about $65 new.
---<snip>---
Or, reducing it to essentials, this is an 8GB stick that'll work
in any laptop accepting DDR3 RAM. It's great! If your laptop accepts
DDR3, you want this. Thanks, John!
