Very good! Head of the class. (Gå til leder av klassen.)

I several lime trees at my house, but, sadly, no coconut palms, so
setting up the obvious sight gag requires a trip to a well-supplied
grocery store.

Well, I wasn't going to get into this, but the international labour day
on May 1st is also in significant part an American invention,
commemorating as it does the Haymarket affair in Chicago, where during a
general strike by trade unions for the eight-hour workday, police opened
fire on a public assembly. This was May 4th, 1886.

The USA and Canada's public holiday on the 1st Monday in September was
established by the Central Labor Union (CLU) of New York, Brooklyn, and
New Jersey (predecessor of current AFL-CIO locals in that area) and a
now-defunct labour union called the Noble and Holy Order of the Knights
of Labor. The latter officially refused to admit bankers. So, at best
that would be only ambiguously a capitalist invention, IMO.
