As you'll see from reading this, there is no way to 'set up your Linux
distro to connect securely to' such a DoSed wifi network to prevent a
hypothetical obsessed nemesis from logging the BSSID of the access
point, logging your transmitted MAC address, and sending the access
point de-authorisation packets requesting that your MAC address be
dropped. This process is inherent in wifi.
So, if you were talking about that, then your question made no sense.

And the same is true of this article's vague reference to 'personalised
DDoS' against 'internet modems and Wi-Fi routers'. No Linux distro
setup is going to address that.
You _could_ try learning some security, and not just Web-searching
articles.
