Just a brief follow up.
The disks are disappointing.
PLOP Linuz is supposed to be a recovery and backup disk but it
seems quite awkward to me. PLOP itself is boot manager for
use on older machines without built-in ability to book from USB.
Sparkylinux 4.2 KDE Plasma 5.5.1 and here is the result of uname -a
"Linux live 4.2.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.2.6-3 (2015-12-06) x86_64
GNU/Linux"
Works well enough.
4MLinux 15 Rescue Kit would not run on my machine but
went into boot loops. So no opinion.
4MLinux 15
Linux i686 4.1.10-smp
Not many changes but it runs.
Links found the bookmark manager but no
way to load old bookmarks.
Leafpad 0.8.18.1 is the very basic editor.
If you decide to install 4MLinux you have easy ways
to download more usable browsers and many
other tools.
Frankly nearly any current Puppy version is more easily
used and has better tools at hand.
