[sf-lug] SF-LUG Meets on Monday 19 October 2015

Hi LUGers,

	I don't know why I do not see this on the List.  If it has shown up 
then please excuse the double posting, the original post
was sent on October 12.

   SF-LUG meets every third Monday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M
and every first Sunday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the
Cafe Enchante, 26th and Geary Boulevard.

     These meetings are usually lightly attended with a high for the
year so far of 7 members.   If you have a problem come along
and maybe we can help but if not we can usually find someone
who can.

Distros of the Half Month!
     This next meeting I will have Quirky April64 - 7.2.
This ran a treat on my notebook and is a little powerhouse
of a Linux distribution.  It is basically for older machines
but it can be run live from CD or USB.  It crams a lot of
powerful tools into the <190 Megabytes it takes up on a
CD. Can write .html, edit iso files and create torrents.

     I plan on having copies as well of Slackel Openbox 6.0.4
in both 32 and 64 bit versions which is based on Slackware
but should be easier to install.

Slackel has access to the Slackware repositories without the
problems associated with the under-experienced trying
to install Slackware itself.

     I will have the Linux Pro magazines as well.
