Hi LUGers,

	This is a forward from the Usenet newsgroup regarding the
need to replace or update glibc.  Please read the ArsTechnica article.
I assume that most of the people who need to replace this have
done so at least the people on this list but still my assumption
may be in error.

What is the status of mga 3 with respect to this:

My machine was updated and that took it to glibc-2.17-7.6.  Apparently
the bug was fixed somewhere between 2.17 and 2.18, so I cannot tell
from that set of numbers if it is still vulnerable or not.
