Presentation:
"Google Go: Not Just For Googlers, also for Gophers!"
presented by Case Talbot,
Developer, Smashwords, Inc.
Go is a new programming language created in 2006 by Google.
While originally envisioned as a modern alternative to static languages
such as C++ and Java, it has found a steady following in refugees
from dynamic languages such as Ruby and Python due to its simple,
consistent, and performant design.
We'll go over some of the basic concepts of Go such as build structure,
error handling, tag annotation, and the power of interfaces while
making a simple web application.
