------------------------------

For our February 2014-02-18 BALUG meeting, we're proud to present:

Michael Paoli on Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS)[1]. LUKS has now been
available for Linux for years, is commonly used for drive encryption,
is recognized by the kernel, and is well supported by most major Linux
distributions, including at time of installation, making drive
encryption on Linux very conveniently available. In this
talk/presentation, Michael Paoli will give an overview of LUKS,
including why one would want to use it, at least basic features and
usage, and demonstration on multiple Linux distributions.

About our presenter Michael Paoli:
Michael has in excess of a decade of experience in both Linux and Unix
systems administration, including work in quite secure environments and
much practical security knowledge and expertise. He's also been making
practical use of LUKS for years, and has been quite involved in various
Linux, Unix, Open Source and related User Groups in the Bay Area for
many years now.
