[sf-lug] Linux mint - keyboard switchin hangul

Hi to all,
I need to install Korean keyboard on my Linux Mint Maya. I can do that quite pretty easily but I fail to change to the hangul - Korean alphabet later on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangul

which is my major goal. I have tried to install Language support for Korean from the control center but nothing happens. I have tried different keyboard short cuts to switch to the hangul when I've the Korean keyboard active but nothing happens which is strange. The difference in Korean keyboard compared for example to Spanish is that first it loads itself to the "usual" romanized system with "Western alphabet" and after that you have an option to switch to the Korean native alphabet - hangul. Well in this case the switch to hangul doesn't work and I do not know why, I have tried the "special hangul" function key which is on every keyboard here, combined it with left or right alt, left or righ ctr, both, space key, name it, nothing.

Do you have any ideas how to treat this? I need to start to write some texts in Korean and this is very limiting, not mentioning that it is actually quite embarrassing ...

In the worst case I would be willing to switch to vim and do the writing in hangul there if the terminal was somehow the option ...

Many thanks,

Sincerely,
