I'd advise against upgrading to something 2.5 years old. With apps
that old, if anything goes wrong, it's hard to get help because
nobody else has the version you're running.

10.04 (also an LTS) generally works well on netbooks (maybe someone
with that specific Eee model can comment) and is still well supported.
