[sf-lug] Desired: Recent CD of Ubuntu, LTS for Monday next for Asus eee 1000HE

Hi, all;

    I am very tired of eeeBuntu, which seems not very intuitive to me. 

    I have an Asus eee PC 1000HE  and wish to upgrade to a real "Ubuntu 
format screen." 

    I have a Canonical 8.04 Desktop edition CD, that worked marvelously 
as long as the laptop computers did (poor computers didn't last long!!  
Which is why the eee) 

    If any one has had experience with that, please note it?
