[sf-lug] xp startup screen freezes

I'm having trouble with bootup on my XP laptop. Sometimes the startup screen  freezes; 
the display message is "Windows is starting up". 
I recently changed the name of the Administra-
tor account to Admin, and I tried to change my
home directory from /home/Administrator to
/home/Admin also. No luck. Here are the changes
I made to my .bash_profile:

HOSTNAME=ariel
USER=Admin
USERNAME=Admin

Is my hung startup screen related to my
changes to the Admin user account? Any
help is much appreciated.
