[sf-lug] Requesting help reinstalling Ubuntu

I have an Acer Aspire One (a sub-notebook w/ an 8g SSD and no CD/DVD drive), which I bought used, and on which Ubuntu 8.04.1 is loaded.  For reasons I don't need to go into now, I want to reinstall Ubuntu and start fresh.  

Since I'm fairly new to Linux and not a geek, I need help w/ reinstallation.

I'm aware I can go to an Installfest hosted by the CABAL; I'd prefer to get this done in SF if possible, and not have to schlep down the Peninsula. I also know about the St. Anthony Tech Fair on 12/6, but I don't qualify as low-income.  

If you're in SF and willing to assist, or have suggestions, please contact me.  I have an install CD.
