hi
Just a reminder that you will have a chance to rant about FOSS to your
heart's content on Friday, June 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 pm at 121 Golden Gate
Avenue, cross street is Jones. We will be installing the distro of your
choice on re-purposed machines; teaching basic familiarity with distros; and
giving out distros to those who request them. The details are here:
http://www.sfconnect.org/projects/viewProject.php?_mode=occurrenceView&_action=load&ixActivity=193&_clearFlag=specialevent&_clearFlag=course&ixAffiliateRegion=&sZipcode=&bAvailable=&dtBegin=&dtEnd=
We will be doing set up from 2 pm to 4:45 p.m. on Friday. We will start at
2 p.m. sharp at the school at Geary and Scott, and we will be going from
there to 121 Golden Gate Avenue. We will have to leave the school by 2:30,
so please be on time if you are interested in participating in helping to
load the boxes from the school to the trucks for St. Anthony's Foundation.
Here is a video by Cnet of a past event there. Notice how prominently the
Ubuntu logo is placed:

The event organizer, Kari Gray, has also asked me to ask you all to tell
your contacts, if any, in low income benefits associations about this event,
so as to maximize turnout.
If you would like to be interviewed for the Digital Tipping Point film,
please do not wear white clothes or any clothes with corporate logos.
Please wear solid colors such as red, salmon, pink, light green, light blue
or light brown.
Thanks in advance!
