I tried it already, but dvgrab couldn't seem to pull any info.  In all
fairness though, it was a bad test because I didn't see any messages
upon insertion of the USB cable into the video camera.  So at least
for now, it appears that the chipset does not support this
functionality or there is some other underlying low-level issue :-)
Ordered the firewire cable and it is on the way!!!
