Title: AIX System Administrator
Location: San Francisco, CA 94105
Salary Range: $80K - $120K

Summary:
IPsoft is seeking a sharp AIX Administrator with demonstrated 
competence in AIX enterprise level configuration and performance and 
tuning, as well as strong scripting experience. The candidate must have 
superior skills in IBM AIX administration and proficiency in UNIX 
system administration in general. The job requires experience in 
administrating, programming, and working within a heterogeneous UNIX 
environment as well as UNIX performance and tuning (in AIX).

Responsibilities
* Provide system administration support for Unix environment, mainly 
IBM AIX, including day-to-day operations, installation and 
configuration of hardware and software, performance management and 
problem resolution.
* Diagnose server/system operational problems quickly and effectively, 
provide recommendations and solutions.
* Monitor, trouble shoot, support and fix operating system and hardware 
problems on several versions of AIX systems. Knowledge in supporting 
various storage frames (EX: EMC, Clarion, SYMM, IBM Shark) is desired.
* Understanding of SAN management products (EMC) is essential.

Qualifications:
* Three or more years of experience supporting AIX systems.
* Strong understanding of the Korn shell scripting language and be able 
to write, troubleshoot, and support complicated scripts. (Understanding 
of other shell programming languages and Perl are a plus.)
