Which brings up Gnash. Has anyone had any success in using this Free
Software tool? I have not had much luck. Maybe I was misusing Gnash, or
not installing it correctly, but in the past, every time that I have tried
to use Gnash on a box, it just fails to see the proprietary media page.
I would use gNewSense if I could to do my work, but unfortunately, I need
something like Ubuntu or openSUSE or PClinuxOS with non-Free packages to
interact successfully with many websites. However, every so often, I like
to check up on the Free packages to see if they are viabile.
I do use only Free Software to run my law office, except for Google
calendars and gmail. But my OS is mostly Free as is my office productivity
suite. Also, all of our work on the Digital Tipping Point film is being
done with Free tools.
