[sf-lug] i586 ThinkPad CD-ROM problems

I didn't mean to HighJack this string with my own issues with a Vaio Laptop I just wanted to throw in my two cents on what an issue may be with Alex's CD drive... using my issue as an example.

which the heck laptop this was. 

I think that i586 issue is almost totally a red herring.
