    well..., i've been using red hat flavored distros for the
reason that i have to start learning somewhere and
believe that red hat is commonly used in commercial
environments, so maybe i can get money if i learn
enough.
    at this point it seems things have changed from three
years ago: debian seems more popular in commercial
environments and ubuntu flavors are maybe the most
popular choice generally, much more popular than
three years ago.
    i still have red hat on almost everything, but the new
colo box may sport debian rather than CentOS 5.
