Dells tend to be a little finicky in terms of RAM. However, it's worth
noting that I've worked mostly with newer models than this (GX2**, 5**, and
7** series). In my experience, while they will probably accept and use
memory upgrades (assuming they're not completely incompatible), they will
most likely only use the amount and bus speed claimed as their limit. That
being said, they do seem forgiving about using what they can of the
resources available to them even when those resources exceed their listed
limits.
